The Learning Disabilities Association
of Cuyahoga County (LDACC) was established in 1985 by
a very small group of parents whose children were struggling
with learning problems. Truly begun around a kitchen
table, these concerned parents decided that they needed
to advocate on behalf of their own children.
LDACC has been a growing, vital chapter
since that time. Over the past 20 years, LDACC has served
some 4,000 individuals in a variety of capacities. LDACC
has grown from a parent support group into an organization
which provides services and programs to children and
adults with specific learning disabilities (SLD) and
their loved ones. Programs are also available for teachers
and other individuals interested in learning about SLD.
